President's Message

Welcome to NCAHQ!

Message from the President

Greetings and welcome to the 2018-2019 NCAHQ!

Big things are happening and I want you to be among the first to know. If you attended the 2018 Annual Education Conference in April, you know what a great experience it was. Quality speakers, vendors and sponsors, geared to your interests, made it quite a success. This coming April 2019, we’re really going to party! The 2019 Annual Education Conference will celebrate our 40th Anniversary as a quality community. Plan now to attend the festivities on April 8-9 at the Washington-Duke Inn in Durham.

40 years! Back in 1979, a small group of dedicated quality professionals started an alliance, wanting to make a difference in patient outcomes via shared experiences. This collaboration developed over ten years to become the NC Association of Healthcare Quality, in relationship with the National Association for Healthcare Quality. Since then, we’ve been through hills and valleys with active membership, finances and community stewardship along the way. We’re now on solid footing with active leaders and members, engaged in promoting excellence, professionalism and continuous improvement in healthcare quality.

Our promise to you is to provide quality, cost effective educational sessions, opportunities for networking with your peers across the state and an open invitation to be as involved as you like in our committees, Board activities and educational offerings. The Board of Directors meetings are open to any who wish to attend or call in. You may alternately contact Kim Haddock, Member-at-Large to relay any ideas or suggestions. We provide an informative quarterly newsletter, a minimum of four edifying webinars, regular e-blasts regarding upcoming events, surveys and elections, and an awesome education conference annually.

We want to hear from you too! The Board exists to serve the membership and provide a formal governance of the association. Your Board of Directors’ contact page is located on the NCAHQ website under the Members’ Only section. Please call or email your comments and suggestions directly to a board member or to
